Police have released the identity of the victim in a recent fatal collision.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says a transport truck hit a woman on the QEW near Dorval Drive.

Police have released the identity of the victim in a recent fatal collision.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says a transport truck hit a woman on the QEW near Dorval Drive.

The collision happened around 9:53 p.m. on Thursday, December 5.

The victim was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

She has been identified as Heather Kakakaway, a 34 year old woman with no fixed address.

The vehicle in this incident remained at the scene, police say.
