Police investigating hate-motivated graffiti at Georgetown park

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a graffiti incident at a Georgetown park.

Police received the report regarding graffiti at John Street Park on March 17, 2021.

Police say that according to the information received, the graffiti with hate-motivated phrases was written on a play structure at the park.

According to police, officers attended the scene and this incident remains under investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed this incident or has any relevant information to contact the 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2415 or ext. 2416.
