Police investigating offensive graffiti incidents in Burlington

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a series of offensive graffiti incidents that took place in Burlington.

Police were contacted about the incident on the morning of Sunday, May 9, 2021.

According to police, profane language and slurs were painted with blue spray paint on businesses, residences and bus shelters located on the 2200 – 2400 blocks of New Street.

Investigators believe the damage was done sometime overnight from May 8 to May 9.

Police say suspect descriptions are not available at this time. No further information regarding the nature of slurs or profane language used will be provided.

Police are appealing to anyone that may have witnessed these incidents or has any relevant information to contact the 3 District Community Mobilization Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 5355.
