Police investigating ‘targeted shooting’ in Oakville neighbourhood

Halton Regional Police are investigating what they believe is a “targeted shooting” in Oakville late Monday night.

Police responded at 11:50 a.m. to reports of gun fire at a residence in the area of Ernest Appelbe Boulevard and Dundas St. in Oakville.

A male victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled before police arrived at the scene.

An arrest has yet to be made, but investigators believe this to be a targeted shooting and that the individuals involved in this incident are known to each other.

There remains a police presence in the area as the investigation into the shooting continues.
