Police Investigation Prompts Road Closures, Evacuations in Oakville

Officers are on scene for an incident this evening.
Police reported around 4:30 p.m. that an investigation is ongoing in the area of Bristol Circle and Hampshire Gate, south of Dundas at Winston Churchill.
While police have not formally disclosed the reason for the investigation at this time, it is believed to be a matter of public safety.
As a result, road closures are in effect in the area and some businesses have been evacuated as a precaution.
