Police Respond to Bank Robbery in Acton

Halton Regional Police have issued a statement in regards to a robbery investigation in Acton.

According to police, on Friday January 11 at approximately 2:18 pm they responded to reports of a robbery that had occurred at the Scotiabank on Mill Street East. Witnesses reported seeing three males wearing masks exiting the bank and fleeing the area in a grey Chevy Cruz.

No physical injuries have been reported to police as a result of this robbery.

Subsequently, the police responded to a collision involving two vehicles near Highway 7 and No. 22 Side Road, south of the bank. One of the vehicles involved was a grey Chevy Cruz, still occupied by three males matching the descriptions of those involved in the earlier bank robbery.

The three males were arrested at the scene of the collision. Two of the suspects were transported to a local hospital to assess the injuries they received as a result of the collision. An occupant in the second vehicle involved in the collision was also transported to an area hospital.
