Police searching for missing father and four year old child in Milton

Halton Police officers are on scene for a search this evening.

Police say a father and his four year old daughter went out for a hike this evening in Milton and have not yet returned.

Police say a father and his four year old daughter went out for a hike this evening in Milton and have not yet returned.

The two are believed to be somewhere in the area between Rattlesnake Point and Crawford Lake Conservation Area.

Police began searching at 7:30 p.m. this evening.

No description of the two missing persons is available at this time.

Police are asking the public not to attempt to search for the father and child, as the strong weather and road conditions may cause accidents.

“We are asking the public to stay out of the area so our officers can conduct their search methodically and strategically,” police added.
