Police Searching for Suspect Following Alleged Sexual Assault Incident in Burlington

Halton Police are searching for a suspect following an alleged sexual assault incident that occurred in Burlington.

Halton Police are searching for a suspect following an alleged sexual assault incident that occurred in Burlington.

According to police, on March 16, 2019, detectives with the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) began an investigation after a 23-year-old female reported that she had been sexually assaulted.

The alleged sexual assault occurred in the area of Lakeshore Road and Elizabeth Street.

Police say the victim advised that she met the suspect, who identified himself as Giovanni Vincente, on the dating app Hinge.

Police say the victim went to a local establishment with the suspect before accepting a ride in his vehicle.  

Police say the victim was driven to the location mentioned above at around 11:30 p.m., where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.

Police are describing the suspect as a 26-year-old man with an olive complexion. According to police, the alleged suspect is 6’3″, 220 lbs., and has short sandy blonde hair with a beard. Police say the suspect was wearing a camouflage shirt and jacket.  

The suspect, according to police, was driving a newer model black four door Volkswagen.
