Police Seeking “Bicycle Bandit” Responsible for Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins in Oakville

Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a male who is believed to have broken into multiple vehicles and stolen valuables in east Oakville.

Police are requesting the public’s help in locating a male who is believed to have broken into multiple vehicles and stolen valuables in east Oakville.

On Sunday, March 17, three vehicles were targeted in the area of Maple Grove Drive and Lakeshore Road.

The suspect, who police are calling the “Bicycle Bandit”, was caught on CCTV footage fleeing the area on a bicycle. He is believed to be in his late teens or early 20’s.

He is also thought to be responsible for vehicle break-ins that occurred in the same area in Fall of 2018.

In each case, police say the entries occurred to unlocked vehicles between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.

Residents are reminded to remove all valuable items from their vehicles and lock their vehicle doors when unattended.
