Police are looking for witnesses and video footage related to a recent incident in Milton.
Just before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, police say a shirtless male shoplifter fled from Canadian Tire and ran onto Steeles Avenue East in the area of Esquesing Line.
“The male suspect ran in front of moving vehicles in an attempt to stop them to obtain a ride,” say police.
“He also tried to open several car doors while traffic remained heavy on Steeles Avenue East.”

The suspect was unsuccessful and was apprehended by police within minutes.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
