Popular Chicken Product Recalled Due to Salmonella
If you have this common chicken product in your home, you might want to dispose of it or return it to the store.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recently announced that Loblaw Companies is recalling President’s Choice Pub Recipe Chicken Nuggets due to possible salmonella contamination. The affected products have the UPC code 0 60383 13171 5 and a best before date of March 15, 2018.
Consumers are being warned not to ingest the affected product.
The CFIA says that food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections.
Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.
If you have eaten the nuggets and feel sick, contact your doctor.
