Power outage hits wide area of Oakville

The power is out for a number of residences in businesses in several pockets of Oakville this afternoon (May 31).

According to Oakville Hydro data, the area that has been hit is south of the QEW, east of Third Line and west of Trafalgar Rd. although other neighbourhoods are affected.

Oakville Hydro reports the cause of the outage is unknown at this time but crews are investigating.

It is also not known how many customers have been affected or the anticipated time of when the lights will come back on.

Customers have reported outages in the same area earlier this week.
