3 dead in overnight crash in Milton, Ontario

Halton Police have called on motorists to avoid a busy Oakville intersection due to a planned protest.

Police issued the request shortly before 8 p.m. on Feb. 26. They said a protest was underway along Trafalgar Rd. for about two kilometres between the QEW and Upper Middle Road.

While police didn’t specify the nature of the protests, the town has been gripped by several protests against the Israel-Hamas war in recent weeks.

A similar protest on Feb. 10 prompted a similar warning from police. Then, earlier on Feb. 26, town council was forced to move all their meetings online amid protests.

Update: Police say the protest has cleared.
