Register now for spots in Oakville adult sports leagues

If you’re looking for a little bit of exercise this winter and love sports, head over to the Oakville Parks, Recreation and Culture website.

Local residents, age 18 and up, can sign up for recreational leagues in hockey, basketball, pickleball or volleyball.

Leagues will run for 12 weeks (including playoffs) with winter games scheduled to begin the week of Jan. 8.

Basketball

Oakville Recreational Basketball League games are held between 7:30 and 11:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre.

Recreational teams are players with knowledge and those looking to develop their skills with some game experience. Advanced is for more experienced players with tournament experience.

Hockey

The Oakville Recreational Hockey League operates out of Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. Games will start between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m., depending on registration numbers.

There are a variety of division available based on a player’s age and experience. Co-ed teams will play with specific rules suited for a fun safe environment.

Pickleball

Oakville Recreational Pickleball League for mixed, men’s and women’s divisions at Levels 3.0 and 3.5+ operates out of Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre.

Games are held between 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Teams play best two-out-of-three matches per game with regulation scoring to 11.

Volleyball

Oakville Recreational Volleyball League games are held at Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre. The recreational division plays between 7:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Co-ed Intermediate/Advanced games are held on Sundays between 6:30 and 10:30 p.m.
