Repairs to Burlington Canal Lift Bridge to result in lane closures

Drivers taking the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge this week can expect short delays.

Due to maintenance work happening Tuesday (May 24) through Friday (May 27), the government is alerting drivers about alternating lane closures on the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge.

Drivers can expect short delays as one or two lanes will be closed alternately on the lift bridge between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily.

One lane will remain open in each direction.

Though pedestrian and marine traffic will not be affected, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) are asking residents to use caution when on the thoroughfare between Tuesday and Friday.
