Resident thwarts Oakville home invaders

An Oakville resident was able to thwart a home invasion on Tuesday night.

An Oakville resident was able to thwart a home invasion on Tuesday night.

Halton Regional Police were called to a residence in the area of North Service Rd. and Churchill Ave. Sept. 22 following a report that two men tried to force their way into a home.

The victim was able to keep the men from entering and the masked duo eventually fled the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Police believe this was a targeted incident.

Investigators are appealing to members of the public for dash cam or home or business surveillance video from the area of North Service Rd., between Trafalgar Rd. and Sixth Line between 8:15 pm. and 8:45 pm. on that day.
