Residents Invited to Weigh in on the Future of Parks, Trails, and Open Spaces in Oakville
Now that the warmer weather has arrived, and is hopefully here to stay, more and more people will be spending time outdoors. And the town of Oakville recently announced that residents can weigh in on the future of some its outdoors areas: parks, trails, and open spaces.
The town recently announced that it will be developing a plan in order to guide future improvements to these spaces within the College Park area.
Future improvements, according to the town, will be based on the needs of the community.
With that being said, residents have been invited to weigh in and share their thoughts.
A public meeting will be held where residents can have their say, and learn about what the town has heard so far regarding outdoor area improvements.
This meeting will take place on June 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Oakville Town Hall in the Bronte Room.
A presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m.
During this meeting, residents can share their thoughts surrounding how they currently use parks and open spaces, what amenities are needed and where, parking availability, and more.
Residents can also weigh in by completing the College Park survey, which will be available until June 28, 2019.
Currently, there are seven active parks in the College Park area, as well as a number of trails and open spaces.
