Ribs, beer and music. Sounds like a good time to us.

The Milton Rib and Beer Fest, part of the Northern Heat Rib Series, is returning to town July 28 to 30 at Milton Community Sports Park, 805 Santa Maria Blvd.

The festival will mix together barbecue ribs and chicken, of course, as well as a beer market.

The festival features award-winning competition barbecue teams, including Kentucky Smokehouse, Louisiana BAR-B-QUE, Big Hank’s BBQ Shack, Oak and Barrel, and Texas Jack’s BBQ Pits.

With a variety of domestic, craft beer, vodka cocktails as well as ready to drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, organizers promise you won’t leave thirsty!

Upon arrival, you can purchase drink tickets at the vendor tent which can be redeemed for beer, wine, and other alcoholic beverages at our Beer Market Tent/Bar.

As for music, Friday is country day, with Paige Rutledge, Johnny Anderson and the John Atlee Band. Saturday is rock with Southpawz, Don’t Tell Cindy, Transistor Radio Group, Sandra Good Band and Wicked Truth. Sunday is a little bit of everything with Big Dan and The Topside Band, Troy Harmer and The Persuaders and Pearl Jamming.

It only costs $2 to enter with kids under 12 free, and pets are welcome with some restrictions.

The event ir running Friday, July 28, from 4 to 11 p.m., Saturday, July 29, from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday, July 30, from noon to 7 p.m.
