Road closed after vehicle drives off roadway into water in Milton

Officers are on scene for a collision investigation this evening.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m., police reported that a vehicle left the roadway and drove into the pond off Bronte Road.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., police reported that a vehicle left the roadway and drove into the pond off Bronte Road.
Bronte is closed between Steeles Avenue and Victoria Street as police investigate.

Injuries are unknown at this time.
Residents are asked to avoid the area for now.
UPDATE: Police say the vehicle was recovered from the pond after several minutes with assistance from Milton Fire, Halton Paramedics, and local tow companies.
The lone male occupant has been rushed to hospital for life-saving measures.
