Road Closures Across Oakville for Major Event

Oakville drivers will want to take note of the following road closures taking place for four days.

Oakville drivers will want to take note of the following road closures taking place for four days.

It’s in order to accommodate the set-up, event days, and removal requirements of Rogers Hometown Hockey.

The following road closures in downtown Oakville will be in place starting at 2 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 until Monday, Nov. 27 at 7 a.m.:

  • Church Street between Navy Street and George Street
  • Thomas Street between Randall Street and Lakeshore Road

Residents and/or businesses with affected private driveways or laneways that will require parking between this timeframe are asked to contact [email protected] to arrange for alternative parking accommodations with the Town of Oakville.

As for on-street parking, it won’t be available during this timeframe in the following downtown areas:

  • Church Street between Navy Street and George Street
  • Thomas Street between Randall Street and Lakeshore Road

Temporary ‘no parking’ signs and parking meter bags will be installed on the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 22.

Municipal Parking Lots will also be impacted.

Lot 1, 146 Church Street

This lot will be closed from 2 a.m. Thursday, November 23, 2017 until 7 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017.


Lot 2, 184 Church Street

This lot will be closed from 2 a.m. Thursday, November 23, 2017 until 7 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017.

Permit holders will receive further correspondence from the Town of Oakville.


Lot 6, 186 Randall Street

This lot will remain open for permit parking on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24.

This lot will be closed from 2 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 until 7 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017.

Permit holders will receive further correspondence from the Town of Oakville.


Lot 6a, 186 Randall Street

This lot will remain open for paid and permit parking. No exit from this lot onto Church Street.


All other parking lots in downtown Oakville will remain open.
