The holiday season is almost here and that means it’s time for Christmas tree lighting ceremonies.

Here are some road closures and parking restrictions you should be aware of during Oakville’s tree lighting ceremonies.

Downtown BIA Tree Lighting:

Friday, Nov. 16, 7 – 9 p.m.

Road closures:

  • George Street between Church and Lakeshore from 2 p.m. on Nov. 16 until 11 a.m. Nov. 17.
  • Lakeshore Road between Thomas and Dunn from 6 – 9 p.m. on Nov. 16.

Parking restrictions:

  • No parking on Lakeshore Road between Thomas and Dunn after 6 p.m. on Nov. 16.
  • ​No parking on George between Lakeshore and Church as of 2 p.m. on Nov. 16.

Kerr BIA Tree Lighting:

Friday, Nov. 30, 5 – 9 p.m.

Road closures:

  • Kerr Street closed between Washington and Florence from 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Nov. 30.

Parking restrictions:

  • No parking on Kerr Street between Florence and Washington after 2 p.m. on Nov. 30.
