Road Closures In Burlington Due To The Good Friday Road Race
Burlington residents, and anyone who frequents the town, may want to take note of this upcoming road closure.
The annual Good Friday Road Race will result in road and lane closures on April 19.
Fairwood Place, in the area in front of Aldershot School will be closed from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. North Shore Boulevard West from Fairwood Place to Unsworth will also be closed from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Cars travelling to North Shore Boulevard West will be detoured at LaSalle Park Road and at Plains Road West. All other streets on the race route will have one lane open for local access.
There will also be local access to residences but access will be subject to race delays. Residents can get access to or from their homes to cross the race route by contacting the road marshal from the race committee in advance or on the race day. An escort vehicle will be sent to escort their vehicle through the closed section of the course.
