Robber says he’s armed, makes off with jewellery from Burlington shop

Saying he had a gun, a robber threatened a Burlington jewellery store worker and made off with an expensive ring last week.

Halton police say a man went into Griffin Jewellery Designs at the Burlington Centre on Oct. 12 and asked the clerk to show him several rings.

Once he got the ring he wanted, the culprit told the clerk he had a gun and then fled the scene with the ring.

No gun was seen and the clerk was not injured.

The wanted man is described as 6-foot, clean-shaven with dark hair and light brown eyes. He is approximately 30 years old.
