‘Rough play’ suspected as Halton police locate dead body in Oakville

The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating after a man was found dead in the area of Trafalgar Rd and Rosegate Way in Oakville.
The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating after a man was found dead in the area of Trafalgar Rd and Rosegate Way in Oakville.
Monday at approximately 6:15 p.m., police received a report of a male without vital signs laying in a “treed area”.
“The male was pronounced deceased at the scene, and there were no signs of obvious trauma,” said Halton police in a statement. “There is no concern for public safety as a result of the discovery.”
The deceased is believed to be in his late 50s—early 60’s.

Police say it is unknown how long the male had been in the area before or after his death.
Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
