Sam McDadi has sold more homes in Mississauga and the GTA than anyone else
It’s another huge milestone for Mississauga’s Sam McDadi, who has been setting milestones ever since he stepped into the housing market.
The real estate mogul has officially sold over 15,000 homes in his 35-year career – an impressive average of more than one property sold a day.
Those 15,354 homes (as of May 19, 2023) have generated more than $9.5 billion in sales and helped win his firm, Sam McDadi Real Estate, multiple awards for excellent service.
It’s a massive but not at all surprising milestone for McDadi, whose success has made him a household name and one of Canada’s top realtors. Sam McDadi Real Estate has been ranked the top GTA brokerage for all 12 years it’s been around (based on dollar volume sold from exclusive sales, builder sales, and sales on the Toronto Real Estate Board for 2011-2022).
The brokerage’s major success is attributed to several key factors: McDadi’s 35 years of experience in the industry, a team of over 60 dedicated agents speaking more than 25 languages, and full-time marketing of each property to an audience of thousands of potential buyers.
They pride themselves on their dedicated, white glove service, making each client feel like they’re the only client McDadi has.
“My passion in this business drives my longevity. I really love working with people and providing them with great service,” said McDadi.
“I am always trying to aim higher and think of additional ways to improve what I can offer my client, friends, and family.”
While Sam McDadi is a household name now, his firm comes from humble beginnings – McDadi, who was raised in Mississauga, didn’t originally work in real estate.
He graduated with an honours Bachelor of Science degree at Nicholls State University in Louisiana, then completed his Masters of Business Administration degree with honours at the University of South Carolina.
After returning to Canada and briefly working as a financial analyst, McDadi realized his true calling was in real estate, and he’s never looked back.
He obtained his licence in the late 1980s, and said his early years in real estate were challenging as the market stumbled in the early 90s.
“I was hit with a streak of bad luck. I remember showing one client more than 100 homes before she decided to move and purchase a property in the United States,” McDadi recalled.
“It seemed like too many of my deals were falling through, yet not for lack of effort.”
He persevered through those difficult years, even working 14 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure his business could succeed.
“Finally, after about five years, things started to come together. My referral business picked up. This wasn’t just because I was working steadily, but I also had remained true to myself and my values.”
During the 90s and 2000s, McDadi began racking up impressive achievements while he was with RE/MAX — being ranked the #1 RE/MAX team in Mississauga for 14 years, top 5 RE/MAX teams in Canada for more than a decade, and top 10 RE/MAX teams worldwide for more than five years.
After opening his own brokerage in 2012, McDadi and his team held the all-time TRREB record in 2021 and have ranked as the #1 full service real estate team in the GTA for 12 years straight.
While continuing his role as a successful realtor, his longevity in the real estate industry has also led him to write his book Making Sense of Real Estate, an in-depth guide to understanding Canada’s complex real estate market.
Now in its 14th edition, the book is described as “encyclopedia-like” due to its depth in covering every aspect of real estate in Canada.
Additionally, McDadi and his team regularly give back to the community via charity events, donations to charity organizations, and supporting numerous local youth sports organizations and players. Past events have included clean-ups at Mississauga parks and fundraisers to help provide funds to Ukraine.
His brokerage has also pledged $1 million towards Mississauga’s hospitals via Trillium Health Partners. With their belief that health is wealth, a portion of each McDadi sale goes towards Trillium Health.
Other organizations McDadi has supported include the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, Sick Kids, Princess Margaret Hospital Association, Tennis Canada, The Mississauga Food Bank, Erindale Little League Tennis Canada, Rouge Valley Health System Foundation and Club, Heartland Dragons, Tender Years Co-op, and The Mississauga Tigers.
For those who are thinking of selling their homes, McDadi’s core message is “No home is too big or too small”, meaning his team will do whatever it takes to get you a fair price for your property.
Sellers work with a full-time marketing team that covers every base when it comes to advertising property: Free home evaluations, staging including furniture and accessories, pre home-inspections and reports, ads placed locally, nationally or internationally, full-time photographers/videographers, drone videos, floor plans and virtual tours, complimentary home cleaning and detailing services, storage, moving services, and access to lawyers, mortgage advisors and other important services.
Whether you’re selling or buying, the brokerage matches you with an experienced agent who specializes in your area of interest – and with seven locations across the GTA, most residents don’t have to go too far to find the office closest to them.
With over 15,354 homes already sold, Team McDadi is looking forward to thousands more in the coming years, even during some rough patches in the market.
