Halton Hills is celebrating Bike Month with a scavenger hunt where one person will win a new bike.

“Bike Month is a good opportunity for people to try riding a bike for the first time, learn new skills, or simply have fun and connect with new people,” said a Town spokesperon.

“It’s taking the time to rekindle the youthful magic of exploring your neighbourhood by bike or share that joy with the next generation of bike riders. Bike Month is a celebration of cycling.”

Bike Month returns this year with in-person events and a goal of bringing people together for healthy, sustainable fun.

“A Bike Month event can be just about anything, as long as it involves bikes. In the past, people have hosted bike rides, festivals, film nights, workshops, seminars, and get-togethers.”

The Town of Halton Hills’ bike scavenger hunt is a fun and exciting way to explore the Town by bike.

Participants can complete the scavenger hunt on their own or as part of a team while taking selfies at all the designated locations during Bike Month (between June 1 and 30, 2023).

Once you find a location, take a selfie with your bike and the location sign in the background and upload your photo for your chance to earn some great prizes. Each selfie is equal to one raffle entry (total of 14 entries available).

The prizes include a GT Aggressor Expert bike, Fitbit Charge 5, and four individual $25 gift cards (2 for Downtown Acton & 2 for Downtown Georgetown).
