The search for a missing Oakville man in Lake Ontario has been called off.

The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Trenton has suspended the nautical search for 65-year-old Eric Quimby who has been missing since Tuesday.
His boat had been found near Rochester, New York the next day but there were no signs of the man. His destination before he departed was for Stoney Creek.
Quimby is considered an experienced sailor and when he didn’t return to shore in Oakville as scheduled, emergency crews were called.
The case has been turned over to Halton Regional Police and will be investigated as a missing person.
