Second case of monkeypox confirmed in Burlington, Oakville, Milton

There are now two confirmed cases of monkeypox in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills.

As of June 27, according to an epidemiological summary by Public Health Ontario, the two Halton cases are among the 67 confirmed cases in the province.

All the confirmed cases are among men, but there are another five unconfirmed cases, which includes the only one reported in a woman.

The average age of confirmed cases is 38 years old and range from 23 to 60 years old.

The most commonly reported symptoms of the skin condition include rash, oral/genital lesions, swollen lymph nodes, headache, fever, chills, myalgia, and fatigue.
