Seniors can learn about affordable housing options at Oakville symposium and fair
Published October 8, 2023 at 9:00 am

Searching for affordable housing can be difficult for seniors in Oakville.
The town is looking to help seniors find helpful solutions and is holding an Oakville Seniors Housing Symposium and Information Fair on Oct. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors.
Local seniors are welcome to join Oakville Seniors Services and the Seniors Working Action Group (SWAG) for “insightful” discussions about affordable housing options for older adults in Oakville.
Local businesses will be sharing information on their programs and services, followed by a 90-minute expert panel discussion
to help older adults explore alternative housing solutions, navigate local housing options, and plan for their current and future needs.
Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors is located at 1565 Old Lakeshore Rd.
Residents 65 years of age and older can take Oakville Transit to the fair free of charge with a PRESTO card.
