Seven COVID-19 cases confirmed at one Halton school

An elementary school in Halton Hills is reporting the highest number of cases of COVID-19 among schools in Halton Region.

An elementary school in Halton Hills is reporting the highest number of cases of COVID-19 among schools in Halton Region.

St. Francis Assisi Catholic Elementary School, located at 120 Sinclair Ave. in Georgetown, has seven confirmed cases according to the Halton District Catholic School Board.

As a result of these cases, two classrooms have been shut down.

The Catholic school board is currently dealing with 11 confirmed cases in its schools throughout the region.

Other schools with confirmed COVID-19 cases in the system are all at the elementary level, they include  St. Patrick in Burlington, St. Anthony of Padua in Milton, and St. Joseph in Acton.
