Some services temporarily unavailable at Oakville Library

If you’re having trouble with the Oakville Public Library website, you’re not alone.

The OPL announced an upgrade to the main library system, part of an ongoing effort to enhance the functionality for customers and staff.

This upgrade is not expected to impact circulation services. Customers will be able to browse the catalogue online and in-person at our branches, as well as borrow materials.

Also customers can continue to use:

  • Self-checkout kiosks
  • OPL Express hold pickup lockers
  • OPL Express Browse & Borrow kiosks
  • Return drop kiosks
  • Public access computers and public printers

During this period, the following services and features will not be available:

  • Place holds (you will see the availability of the item but not be able to place or modify holds)
  • Changes to Library account information (no access to My Profile or Settings on website during this time)
  • Renewing your library card (if your current expiry date falls during this period we will extend it automatically for you)
