Stabbing Suspect Wanted By Halton Police

 

Halton police are searching for a man - who’s now wanted - in relation to a stabbing in Halton Hills.

The incident took place on Sept. 17 at a home on Trafalgar Rd. just north of Steeles Ave. around 10 a.m.

Emergency crews were sent there for a disturbance, finding a man with a stab wound to his bicep and his chest. 

The male was treated by paramedics and transported to Milton District Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect John Reid Steele, 51, of no fixed address,  allegedly fled in the victim’s vehicle before police arrived.

The victim and suspect know each other, say police.

Steele is wanted for assault with a weapon and theft of a motor vehicle.

He’s described as white, standing 5-foot-10, weighing 186 pounds, with long black greying shoulder-length hair.

The stolen vehicle is a 2006 Toyota Yaris with Ontario licence plate number BLZT 715.
