Weather April 10: 19c temperatures with rain in southern Ontario

Looks like the rainy weather over the past few days has come to a brief halt as temperatures averaging in the high teens as well as ample amounts of sunshine are expected for Mississauga, Brampton, and surrounding areas this week.

Last week there were scattered showers and plenty of it, which in hindsight may have kept some of us indoors, but was just the thing the outdoor environment needed to bloom and stay green.

It’s safe to say, no rain will dampen any plans you may have for this Victoria long weekend.

As of today (May. 21) it will be mostly sunny through the morning and early afternoon, before clouds move in and stay for the remainder of the day and well into the night. Temperatures will shoot to a high of 25 C making Sunday the warmest out of the entire week.

The UV index is also expected to reach 8 which is very high and anyone going outdoors between 10 a.m., to 4 p.m. should be prepared with a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect themselves and reduce sun exposure.

According to Meteorologists, Monday will bring even more sunny vibes, but temperatures will drop 7 degrees to 18 C (still warm) with the potential of clouds in the early morning before dissipating in the afternoon. The UV index will also be very high and it is advised to follow precautions if spending long periods of time outdoors.

With Tuesday on the horizon temperatures will rise to 24 C — mimicking Sunday minus the clouds. It will be clear blue skies for majority of the day. As the evening approaches temperatures will fall to 13 C —the warmest night compared to the rest of the week. If you’re a stargazer you may want to spend some time outside looking up at the sky!

The Weather Network, calls for a 40 percent chance of Spring showers on Wednesday with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day and temperatures will sit at a pleasant 15 C.

The storm clouds disappear on Thursday bringing sunshine back into the forecast with temperatures climbing to a formidable 17 C.

You’ll forget there ever was rain on Wednesday, as much like Thursday, Friday will continue on with the sunny weather and no clouds are anticipated to appear.  Temperatures will climb a couple degrees (from the previous day) to 19 C.

Meteorologists predict the sunshine streak to continue into Saturday with temperatures creeping up to 22 C.

As long as the good weather is here, it might be a good idea to take advantage of it and go for that stroll outdoors, and get your lungs full of fresh air or open a couple windows in your home and let in a little breeze.
