Suspect Arrested After Shooting in Burlington This Morning

Police have made an arrest after a shot was fired this morning in Burlington.

The suspect was arrested in Hamilton around 4:30 p.m. without incident, according to Halton police.

The suspect was arrested in Hamilton around 4:30 p.m. without incident, according to Halton police.

A single shot was fired at two people inside a vehicle in the Motel 6 parking lot at North Service Rd. and Corporate Dr. around 11:30 a.m. 

Following the incident, officers were dispatched to 4345 North Service Rd.

The alleged gunman and victims fled the scene in separate vehicles, police say. The victims’ vehicle was found by police at Mainway and Dillon Rd.

“We do know who the intended victims are,” said Det.-Sgt. Joe Barr earlier today.

Investigators are describing the shooting as “targeted.”

No other details have been released and the investigation is ongoing.
