Suspect Charged for Allegedly Filming Woman at Oakville Community Centre

An Oakville man is being charged for allegedly filming a woman in the change room of a local community centre.

The woman wasn’t physically harmed and there’s no information to suggest children were targeted, investigators say.

Tips from the public helped Halton police make a quick arrest.

The incident took place at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre along Glenashton Dr. on July 11 at 7:45 p.m.

The victim alleges a man was filming her in the family change room as she was getting ready to swim.

She told police she confronted the man, who fled.

The suspect was arrested on July 13.

Ritesh Shah, 44, is charged with one count of voyeurism.

He was released on a promise to appear.
