A 21-year-old Mississauga man is being charged in connection with a Milton crash which sent a teenager to a trauma unit.

The incident, involving a four-door Mazda, took place on Sunday, March 5 at 2:19 a.m. on Britannia Rd., west of Hwy. 25.

The Mazda collided with a tree, resulting in injuries to the occupants.

Emergency crews treated three people, say Halton police.

A girl, 17, sitting in the back suffered critical injuries and was transported to hospital.

The driver, who’s now being charged, and the front-seat passenger, a seventeen-year-old Milton girl, suffered minor injuries.

Both were treated in local hospital.

The collision reconstruction unit took over the file and determined the Mazda was travelling eastbound on Britannia when

it left the road and entered the ditch on the south side of the street.

The Mazda then struck several trees before coming to rest on Britannia Rd.

The suspect is charged with one count of dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
