A suspect is facing a number of charges after driving his vehicle onto a Milton golf course yesterday (May 27) afternoon.

According to police, a vehicle that is believed to be involved in an earlier fail to remain collision in Acton was allegedly smashing into parked cars, and driving on the golf cart paths of Greystone Golf Course.

Police say this caused golfers on foot and in carts to scurry out of the way.

There were no injuries and no damage to golf course sustained.

The vehicle left the golf course and was stopped by a traffic officer nearby in heavy rush hour traffic.

Police say the driver was arrested and transported to a police facility to take a breath test.

The driver blew more than twice the legal limit of 80 mgs.

The incident is still under investigation, and police say the exact number of parked vehicles hit, and a dollar amount of damage, has not been determined yet.

However, Ryan Linkletter, 26, of Pickering, Ontario, is facing the following alleged charges: impaired operation, impaired concentration, and dangerous operation.

The accused was released on a promise to appear and will have his first date before a Justice on June 17, 2019, at the Milton Courthouse.
