An Oakville man is facing a number of break-and-enter charges thanks to an alert resident, according to Halton police.

Police received a call Wednesday afternoon from a suspicious Oakville resident who believed their neighbour’s home was being broken into.

Officers say they “quickly responded and were able to arrest a male who was found in possession of break-in instruments”.

Police say further investigation revealed that the male was responsible for committing another break-in in the same neighbourhood on Oct. 29, 2019.

Investigators raided the suspect’s home and “a related storage locker” to find what police call “further evidence believed to be from the Oct 29” incident.

Daniel Ocampo, 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of break-and-enter, and possession of break-in instruments.
