Netflix Canada, one of the country’s best-known streaming services, has quickly become an important part of every TV watcher’s life (especially as people continue to migrate from basic cable to streaming).

To wrap up 2020, Netflix Canada recently released a list of the top 10 most popular releases of 2019 in Canada.

So, what did Canadians watch the most in 2019?
Murder Mystery came in at number one, followed by 6 Underground, The Irishman, Stranger Things 3, The Witcher, Triple Frontier, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, The Highwaymen, The Incredibles 2 and The Umbrella Academy.
Judging from the list, it looks like Canadians are very into true crime (Extremely Wicked, which stars Zac Efron, chronicles the crimes of the notorious serial killer, Ted Bundy), fantasy and superheroes (fun fact, The Umbrella Academy was filmed in nearby Mississauga).
