It’s almost officially spring, which means the farmer’s market season is also almost upon us too. And this year an exciting new market is coming to the Town of Milton.

Recently a Facebook page (Milton Public Market) came into existence. One of the page’s earlier posts (March 10, 2019) invited all those who are interested to come out to a public meeting regarding the market.

At this meeting, which is being held at Orange Snail Brewers (32 Steeles Ave. E. Unit 1) on March 21, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., people can learn more about the market, ask questions, as well share their thoughts on what they’d like to see, and how they can get involved.

Now, the Facebook group has announced that the Milton Public Market has officially been approved by the town.

The market, according to a Facebook post, is scheduled to open every Saturday and Sunday starting May 25 to Sept. 15, 2019. On both days the market will be open from 12 to 6 p.m. at the Milton Fairgrounds.

This 40,000 square foot indoor and outdoor market will support local farmers, chefs, crafters, etc., and will feature a variety of weekly workshops, exhibits, seminars, chef demos, and more.

Each weekend, there will be more than 250 vendors making this market the largest of its kind in the Halton Region.

In order to accommodate visitors, there will be free parking available at the Milton Fairgrounds.

Will you be heading out to this market?
