Good news Oakville residents, there is a new spot in town do some last minute holiday grocery shopping.

A new supermarket has officially opened in the Town of Oakville.

Farm Boy opened in the Town of Oakville on Dec. 13 – just in time for the holiday season. This location, 1907 Ironoak Way (at the corner of Upper Middle Road East and Joshuas Creek Drive), marks the popular company’s 27th location in Ontario.

The 23,250 sq. ft.  grocery retailer created 120 new jobs for the community.

The store – which began in 1981 as a Cornwall fruit stand – offers an incredible selection of fresh meat and produce, and has its own private label featuring items such as tortilla chips (get lime!), salad dressing and salsa.

Also, while shopping at Farm Boy, Oakville residents will find mouth-watering chef-inspired meals (flatbread pizza, anyone?) with a fast-casual restaurant experience, as well as made-from-scratch sweet treats.

“Offering fresh, wholesome foods and friendly service has been the heart and soul of our business since 1981,” Jeff York, Farm Boy Co-CEO, said in a recent press release.

“We are excited to be opening our newest location in the community of Oakville and we promise to work hard to earn their business.”

Oakville shoppers can also pick up an on-the-run breakfast, lunch or dinner to enjoy at home or in the store’s Wi-Fi enabled eating area.
