This Popular Healthy Food Chain is Now Open in Oakville
Halton’s food scene has expanded quite a bit within the last couple of years and it is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Another popular food chain has opened in the Town of Oakville.
Basil Box, located at 2508 Winston Park, was officially open as of Tuesday (Jan. 15) morning.
The restaurant is perfect for all foodies who are looking for the distinct flavours from Thai and Vietnamese food.
As noted on the official Basil Box website, the inspiration for the restaurant came from the street markets of Thailand and Vietnam.
“Too often North American-Asian food is greasy, deep-fried fare,” the official Basil Box website notes.
“Basil Box reintroduces Asian cuisine to the North American market in an authentic and healthy way, to satisfy both your cravings and your conscience.”
At Basil Box customers build their own boxes by starting with a choice of either chilled rice noodles, a spring mix, long grain brown rice, or short grain brown rice and different protein and vegetable choices.
The restaurant also has both vegan and gluten-free options.
The creation possibilities are endless!
The first Basil Box opened in Square One Mississauga and there are now several locations across the GTA.
