This Salon in Halton Hills has a Brand New Look

Getting a haircut, your makeup done, or just treating yourself to a day at the salon can make you feel like a whole new person.

Similarly, when a store, restaurant, or any sort of establishment gets renovated in any way this also gives the place a whole new feel. A popular salon in Halton Hills recently experienced this feeling first-hand. 

Downtown Georgetown is an excellent location in Halton Hills where residents and visitors can eat, shop, and enjoy everything the town has to offer. It is also where a recent façade refurbishment project took place. 

According to a recent press release, the location of this project, which was completed at the end of 2018, was Salon Estilo (48 Main St. S.) and was funded in part by the Town of Halton Hills Community Improvement Plan (CIP).

This project consisted of a new front design that coincides with the historic neighbourhood.

“While the building is not officially designated a heritage property, it was important to the owner to have a period-correct look,” notes the release. “Project elements included replacing the damaged block with historic brick, installing new signage and lighting, and enhancing architectural elements like window framing, upper cornices and entryways.”

During the project, the property owner and Salon Estilo worked to ensure that the new look was something that clients would also enjoy and benefit from.

“As we worked with the property owner to finalize the design, it was important to us that the look of the building supports the quality of the services we offer our clients,” said Salon Estilo co-owner Daniela Soria. “Both our clients and staff are very pleased with the end result,” Tehseen Sayyeda, co-owner, said in the release.

Salon Estilohas been part of Georgetown’s downtown success for the past seven years. A few of the salon’s services include haircuts, blow dry packages, hair extensions, colour treatments (touch-ups, changes, corrections, highlights), makeup services, and more – for men and women. 

The salon’s contributions to the community is something that doesn’t go unnoticed by the building owner.

“We were pleased to enhance the building to reflect the excellent service and contribution they have made to the town,” John Trisic, the building owner said.

Since the CIP program launched, around $375,000 in grants/loans have been awarded in multiple program categories. This has resulted in more than $650,000 in total investments throughout the community.
