It’s a very sad day for some restaurant-goers in Oakville’s Bronte Harbour.

Earlier today (Monday, February 25), it was reported that popular Italian restaurant Yolanda’s Spuntino Casa will soon be closing its doors permanently.

“It’s time to say farewell to Yolanda’s Spuntino Casa. We would like to thank all the staff who have walked through the doors here and to all of the guests who have joined us over the last five years,” Bronte Village’s Facebook page wrote in a statement.

The restaurant’s last day will be Sunday, March 10.

Residents are invited to stop by one last time and enjoy some of the restaurant’s classic items, such as their truffle gnocchi, olive ascolana, and cacio e pepe arancini.

So, what will be replacing Yolanda’s Spuntino Casa?

Cove Bar & Restaurant, described as a new contemporary bar and restaurant celebrating classic North American fare, is planned to open sometime in April.

“We will be highlighting craft beers & wines from all over the world and Ontario as well as classic cocktails and some new signatures,” the statement continues.

“With the same waterfront patio Cove Bar & Restaurant will be a place to gather for lunch or dinner, but also the ideal location for a wedding and all of life’s special events.”

For updates on Cove Bar’s upcoming opening, residents should keep an eye on Bronte Village’s social media.
