Teens trying to make off with stolen goods from a Burlington Canadian Tire allegedly showed a knife when confronted by store staff.

According to reports, the pair entered the Canadian Tire at the Burling Centre on Guelph Line around 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 10).

The pair were spotted putting store items into a bag and left without paying for them.

Outside, a store employee confronted the pair and that’s when one of the suspects opened his coat to display a knife handle.

The threatened store worker backed off, and then the two fled the scene.

Halton police who arrived on the scene later found two suspects nearby and made an arrest.

Two teenagers, both from Hamilton, have since been charged with robbery.
