Three Oakville teens arrested following robbery and assault

Three arrests have been made following an early morning robbery in Oakville today (July 4).

Three arrests have been made following an early morning robbery in Oakville today (July 4).

Police got a report that two victims in the area of Glen Abbey Community Centre were approached by three males, who then made a demand for personal belongings.

“When the victims refused, they were assaulted and the items were taken from them,” police said.

No weapons were used and the victims were not injured.

Officers responded to the area and, after being provided with a description of the suspects, located and arrested them a short time later. The stolen property was recovered.

A 15 year old male, 17 year old male, and 18 year old male, all from Oakville, were charged with robbery.

“They have since been released from custody,” said police. “Police will not be releasing the identity of any of the accused to protect the identity of the two youths charged.”
