Currently, the storm is moving slowly east from Milton towards Oakville, and a thunderstorm warning is in effect for Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville.
Residents can expect strong wind gusts, up to nickel-sized hail and heavy rain, which could cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Drivers are advised to drive appropriately for the weather conditions–which includes maintaining a safe following distance and using their lights if visibility is impeded.

Additionally, the Office of the Fire Marshal and Emergency Management recommends residents take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.
