Toronto man facing numerous weapons charges after gun drawn at Oakville house party

A Toronto man is facing multiple weapons charges after a house-party in Oakville got out of control.

The arrest follows a report initially filed in November, 2023, after an unknown male, later identified by police as the accused, pointed a gun and made threats towards another person at a house party. There were no physical injuries as a result of this incident.

Officers from the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau investigated to identify the suspect and yesterday, Jan. 16, executed a search warrant in North York and arrested the accused.

During the search, investigators located and seized a loaded 9mm handgun.

Timothywos Tesfaye, 20, of North York has been charged with several firearms offences, including assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and tampering with the serial number of a firearm.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
