Toronto songwriter guest at Burlington library’s speaker series
Juno-Award winning musician Suzie McNeil will be the guest at tomorrow’s Songwriter’s Café hosted by the Burlington Public Library.
The virtual event, scheduled for April 6 from 2-3 p.m., will be moderated by Myles D. Rusak, CEO of Burlington’s acclaimed Sound of Music Festival.
McNeil, a native of Toronto, was born into a musical family. She was practically raised singing with her mother and sister, learning to collaborate from a very early age.
A musical jack-of-all-trades, Suzie’s impressive experience spans performing to massive crowds beside some of North America’s top artists and in more intimate venues with her Nashville-based country/rock band, along with studio work, Broadway level musical theatre, and commercial jingles.
The Songwriter’s Café is an ongoing series of lyrics and storytelling instructional conversations intended to inspire and motivate all writers with a song in their heart throughout Poetry Month in April.
