Town of Milton fosters creativity and innovation with new collaboration

The event brought together officials from the town and local entrepreneurs, innovators, and creative thinkers to foster collaboration, exchange ideas, and ignite innovation in Milton, Halton and the GTA.

“Milton’s economy is growing and evolving quickly, and collaborating on a network like Milton Innovative Community is a great way to discover new opportunities, share experiences, and connect with fellow innovators. As a Town, we are excited to partner on a network with great possibilities ahead,” said Andy Scott, Milton’s director of Strategic Initiatives and Business Development.

This was the first of many planned MIC events, which are open to anyone interested in innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Future activities will include networking sessions, talks by industry leaders, hackathons, mentorship programs, and workshops on topics like start-up growth, technology trends, and innovation strategies.

MIC is led by its founder and CEO, Mike Shoss, who has more than a decade in product management and a passion for AI-driven tech. His experience includes three years in Silicon Valley and a history as a serial entrepreneur.

The Town of Milton’s Economic Development team is supporting the venture as part of a focus on enhancing professional services in Milton and area.
